Der AMD Athlon FX ist ein "Opteron"-Klone, speziell für den Workstation Bereich. Er ist im Gegensatz zum "Opteron" nur Single-Prozessoren tauglich. Im Vergleich zum Athlon 64 ist der FX mehr auf "Gaming" ausgerichtet.
